Julie Michaud started her career in New York City, where she worked alongside some of the most prominent makeup artists, hair stylists, and fashion designers while shuttling back and forth to Paris to do photo shoots with actors and musicians.
Julie has worked alongside renowned board-certified dermatologists to bring her unique style of medical-grade beauty services to clients all over the world. She also trained in the classic French style of micropigmentation. These experience helped develop her eye for clean, classic, and timeless beauty…with an edge.
Julie’s celebrity clients have included Helena Christensen, Olympia Dukakis, Robert Downey, Jr., Chaka Khan, Joan Kennedy, and Whitney Houston. Her work has been featured in national publications like Allure, Bazaar, InStyle, Lucky, and Marie Claire.
Julie opened her salon, Prettyology, in 1998, where she and her team offering cosmetic skin treatments, permanent makeup, and other aesthetic services. Julie says: “Beauty should be fun and every woman should feel confident in her own skin…My goal as a makeup artist has always been to make the woman I am working on feel happy, empowered and pretty. I want her to feel like herself, but the best, most head-turning version of herself she can be.”
In addition to non-permanent and permanent makeup, Julie specializes in areola repigmentation and scar camouflage. She is a Fellow of The American Academy for Micropigmentation, a Member of The Society of Cosmetic Professionals and a Massachusetts Licensed Cosmetologist.
