“Any Hollywood golden worth her blonde locks knows Corey Powell,” Us Weekly says.
Corey’s famously blonde clients include Oscar winners Hilary Swank and Reese Witherspoon (whom he transformed into a luscious brunette for Walk the Line), Toni Collette, Kate Hudson, Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Nicole Richie, Cameron Diaz and Renée Zellweger. Corey has been a Hollywood mainstay since his early 20s when he apprenticed for José Eber on the set of the original Charlie’s Angels; Eber created Farrah Fawcett’s iconic flip and Corey was responsible for maintaining it on set. Years later, Corey styled Cameron Diaz’s look in the 2000 feature remake of Charlie’s Angels and its 2003 sequel Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. Corey styled the one and only Elizabeth Taylor for the legendary White Diamonds advertising campaign and also created Debra Messing’s signature look on Will and Grace.
Other celebrity clients have included: Anne Archer, Jacqui Getty, Gloria Reuben, Rosanna Arquette, Laura Harring, Kim Basinger, Paris Hilton, Zuleikha Robinson, Charlie Sheen, Holly Hunter, Cybil Shepard, Jerry Bruckheimer, Timothy Hutton, Brooke Smith, Deana Carter, Ashley Judd, Jaclyn Smith, Tea Leoni, Sharon Stone, Laura Linney, Jennifer Coolidge, Josie Maran, Benicio Del Toro, Carrie-Anne Moss, Tiffani Thiessen, Maura Tierney, Marisa Tomei, Emilio Estevez, Carré Otis, Mary-Louise Parker, Bridget Fonda and Victoria Principal.
Corey is proud to have worked with the industry’s best photographers including Mario Testino, Helmut Newton, Annie Leibovitz and Randall Slavin. He has been featured as an expert in Elle, Allure, InStyle, W, Los Angeles, DailyCandy, People, In Touch and Us Weekly.
