Leslie Davenport
Author and psychotherapist
San Francisco, CA. USA.
Leslie Davenport is an author, psychotherapist, and founding member of one of the nation’s largest integrative medicine centers associated with a hospital, the Institute for Health & Healing at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. For the last twenty years, she has guided thousands of people to harness the source of healing within using the ancient tool of guided imagery.
Because the efficacy of imagery is now backed by years of research, she has established guided imagery programs in five hospitals and has recently published a book, Healing and Transformation through Self Guided Imagery.
An engaging speaker, she lectures in a broad range of setting that has included ABC7 News, KRON Television, the National Wellness Conference, and Uncovering the Heart of Higher Education Conference, to name just a few. She was honored in her home county with the Marin Breast Cancer Council’s “Honor Thy Healer” award in 2003.
Leslie is currently in practice at the Health & Healing Clinic at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and Marin, as well as with Smith Integrative Oncology. She is the creator and core faculty of the Deep Imagination program John F Kennedy University, and is on the advisory council and faculty for the new Mind-Body Medicine Department at Five Branches University. She is also a faculty member of the graduate program in Integrative Health Studies and clinical supervisor for the California Institute of Integral Studies.
